We believe each horse has their own unique personality, and we are constantly evolving in our pursuit to improve all of our riders’ abilities. Most important we feel patience, persistence and experience is needed to create a partnership between horse and rider. At Still Pond Stables we emphasize the rider/horse relationship.
Facility
Our facility has an updated 8 stall barn with a wash stall and heated tack room. We have an Olympic size ring, many paddocks, 2 streams and a pond. The property has vast trails that give the rider many views of the incredible beauty of the Long Green Valley.
Dedicated Educators
Still Pond Stables classes are taught by a dedicated and experienced trainer, Michele Mosler. Her main area of interest and expertise is training future prospects for Dressage/Equitation/Hunter/Jumper. Our goal is for riders to engage their horses in an emotionally meaningful way and strengthen the bond between rider and horse, by encouraging both parties to trust each other. By developing exercises geared towards each rider/horse pair and mindful of their individual characteristics, we want to help them achieve a partnership and help them work together. Still Pond has a goal to have a competitive team and go to all levels of competition, from schooling shows to rated shows.
Management/Owners
Michele Mosler – Michele has been riding since the age of three, starting on ponies then advancing to horses, competing on the A Circuit Hunter/Equitation Divisions all the way to Penn National. After college she moved to Gdansk, Poland competing on the European Circuit in Jumper and Dressage Disciplines and worked with such greats as Isabella Werth. She trained her horse Romeo, starting as a two year, up to Grand-Prix level Dressage. Michele then went on to manage an Equestrian Sports Center before returning to the states in 2011. She began managing the Puh’tok Equestrian program in 2013 to the present.
Past achievements include: Qualified for Penn National, Polish Championships, Debuted at the World Equestrian Games Aachen, Germany, 2006, European Grand Prix Invitational in Sweden. Later Romeo was sold to Patricia Gepnar who, born with no hands, qualified him for the Para Olympics in Beijing, riding for Poland. The Polish Government took great pride in this and financed the whole trip for Romeo and Patricia to compete in Beijing 2008 Paralympics which Michele takes as her greatest achievement.
She has helped other owners to train their horses and work thru different problems may be experiencing with their horses. Her main area of interest and expertise is training future prospects as Dressage/Equitation/Hunter/Jumper. Also passing on her own experiences and knowledge to future riders. She has a background in training and had managed a privately owned Equestrian Center in Europe. Michele believes in the importance of Dressage in creating a strong background for not only riders but for their horses, as well. Most of her Jumpers were at least able to compete at upper level dressage, which truly helped in creating a supple horse, with a faster reaction to the aids, flexibility in the turns and well-rounded in all gates. She has had experiences in different areas such as training Green horses to Grand-Prix level in Dressage, and Jumpers. While working in Poland she helped many riders engage their horses in an emotionally meaningful way and strengthened the bond by encouraging both parties to trust each other. By developing exercises geared towards each rider/horse pair and mindful of their individual characteristics, she helped them achieve a partnership and helped them work together.
